Patrick Marzett

Patrick Marzett was born in Chicago, Illinois. By age 5 his father joined the Navy and was stationed at Pearl Harbor Naval Base in Honolulu, Hawaii where he attended elementary school. He landed in Charleston by the 6th grade and began playing the trumpet through 12th grade. Patrick has a B.A. in Media Arts from the University of South Carolina where he learned photography, video, audio, and other various media. He also has a M.S. in Digital Imaging and Design from New York University (NYU) where he Learned 2d and 3d design concepts.
In 2014 Patrick was the winner of the Charleston Chamber of Commerce's Perfect Pitch Competition with his invention The Smart Stand (currently called the Mz7 Smart Powerstation) and then moved on to be a part of the Harbor Entrepreneur Center's Harbor Accelerator program with the same invention.  Patrick currently works in his field of study, doing freelance multimedia design through his company planetMarz Multimedia, which was officially founded promptly after winning the Perfect Pitch Competition.
Patrick is on the South Carolina Arts Commission Roster for Artists, where he goes to various schools to teach kids multimedia and animation concepts. Learn more about his classes here
Patrick also plays the Trumpet for several bands and venues around town and records on various artists' albums, and also teaches private trumpet lessons that you can book here.
Some bands He plays with include iLLAZiLLA, The Dubplates, The Emerald Empire Band, The Jaycob Kendric Band, The Andy Masker Band. He's recorded with Regina Ferguson, The Folly Beach Reggae Allstars, Ben Fagan and The Holy City Hooligans, Stoplight Observations and also plays at Emanuel A.M.E. Church. Some of his hobbies include watching movies, gardening, listening to/discovering new music, researching and discovering new things on the internet.
